I’m Fully Persuaded
Acts 21:14 “And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done”.
In this scripture, we learned that friends can try to persuade us to change our mind when they disagree with the will of God for our life. Paul told his friends that it did not matter what circumstances he face in life nothing would stopped him from fulfilling the purpose of God. Paul understood his mission and purpose in and I believe that we as Christians must garb a hold of this concept and understand that no circumstances in life can hinder us from doing the will of the Father. When we are truly convince about serving God nothing or no one could persuade us to change our mind because we simply believe God about every promised He had made to us. Furthermore, when we are persuaded about the plan God has considering our lives it kills the spirit of confusion because we are not influence by someone else thoughts or actions. God is saying that if we really want to do his will we must accept everything that comes with it whether it’s pain, long sufferings or persecution.
Being persuaded means that there’s no room for double minded. Sometimes when God had spoken to us whether through dreams or visions about preaching the “Gospel” we must keep in mind that friends and family are not always going to support our decisions; but we must not allow they unbelief persuade us to change our minds about doing will of God. Romans 4:21 says, “And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform”. Everything promises that God had made to us he’s able to bring it to manifestation but we must have the determination to press beyond how we feel when obstacles come our ways.
